Meet Pia
Welcome to the Minette Foundation, where a dedicated group of individuals comes together to drive meaningful change.
Our team is filled with passionate professionals who are committed to making a positive impact through charitable work. Get to know the people behind our mission and see how their diverse experiences contribute to our efforts.
Our Mission
Our mission is to expand access to mental health care and essential resources—including providing food, clean water, and hygiene items—for women, men, children, youth, and families experiencing poverty or systemic barriers to care.
We are equally committed to supporting the well-being of providers working with these communities by offering professional development trainings and wellness/self-care events—strengthening trauma-informed systems of support across sectors.

Success Stories
In October 2024, Madeline traveled to the Dominican Republic on a mission trip and was introduced to two extraordinary organizations: Madelaes Orphanage and Najayo Mujeres Women’s Prison. Madeline was deeply moved by the resilience of the women and children she met, and by their gratitude for the donations given to them. The staff at both sites—despite operating with modest wages, limited training opportunities, and external support—demonstrated extraordinary dedication to healing and transformation. Madeline witnessed firsthand the powerful impact that partnership could make.
The Minette Foundation’s international work began in the Dominican Republic—where our roots run deep and the need is urgent. As Dominican women with strong ties to the Dominican community in New York City, Mary and Madeline know firsthand the challenges that drive individuals and families in this diaspora to seek better lives abroad: limited access to mental health care, basic resources, and economic opportunity in the DR.
The Minette Foundation honors its Dominican roots and extends its mission across borders by supporting Madelaes Orphanage and Najayo Mujeres Prison with donations of food, clothing, shoes, and hygiene items. In addition to meeting essential needs, we provide self development trainings and wellness/self-care events for both the residents and the staff. Through these efforts, we uplift women, men, and children.
