Helping Bronx Families Navigate Autism Services
Dear Bronx families, the Minette Foundation, in partnership with the Autism Speaks Autism Response Team, is here to support you! If you live in the Bronx and have a child ages 0 to 5 with an autism diagnosis or suspected autism, you can receive up to 5 support visits by phone, video, or in person, at no cost and with no insurance required. We help with referrals for early intervention, speech, occupational, physical, and ABA therapies, evaluations, preschool enrollment, and IFSP and IEP development with the Department of Education. We also offer guidance on parent support groups and strategies for behavior, sleep, and potty training, plus help with WIC, SNAP, healthcare coverage, housing, transportation, and legal assistance. Servicios de Apoyo para Familias con Autismo
¡Queridas familias del Bronx, la Fundación Minette, junto con el Equipo de Respuesta al Autismo de Autism Speaks, está aquí pa’ darles la mano! Si usted vive en el Bronx y tiene un muchachito de 0 a 5 años con diagnóstico o sospecha de autismo, puede recibir hasta 5 visitas de apoyo por teléfono, por video o en persona, sin costo y sin necesidad de seguro. Le ayudamos con referidos pa’ intervención temprana, terapias del habla, ocupacional, física y ABA, evaluaciones, inscripción en preescolar, y con el IFSP y el IEP del Departamento de Educación. También le orientamos con grupos de apoyo pa’ padres, estrategias pa’ el comportamiento, el sueño y pa’ enseñarle a usar el baño, además de solicitudes de WIC, SNAP, seguro médico, vivienda, transporte y ayuda legal.
